The JEE Advanced Result 2026 has been announced by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee on the official website. Also, candidates can download the final answer key for both Paper 1 and Paper 2. Candidates must log in using their roll number, date of birth, and mobile number to check the result.
Along with rank cards, the JEE Advanced 2026 topper list has been released on its official portal. The list contains toppers’ names, scores, IIT Zone of eligibility and All India Rank. Candidate Shubham Kumar topped the exam with 330 marks (AIR 1), followed by Kabir Chhillar who got 329 marks (AIR 2), and Jatin Chahar at 319 marks (AIR 3).

JEE Advanced Result 2026: Topper, Rank, and Category
- Shubham Kumar has got the All India Rank (AIR 1) with 330 marks in the Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) Advanced 2026. He obtained the highest marks among all candidates who appeared for the exam. He is from the IIT Delhi Zone and is listed in the Common Rank List (CRL).
- The candidate named Arohi Deshpande from Pune emerged as the female National topper. She scored 280 out of 360 and secured an AIR 77.

JoSAA Counselling 2026 Registration and Choice Filling
JoSAA Counselling Process is completely online and it is ongoing at the official portal josaa.nic.in. The last date of the registration and JoSAA 2026 Choice Filling is June 11 (5 PM). Therefore, students are advised to register and do choice filling to become eligible for seat allotment at the top engineering institutes.
How to apply for JoSAA Counselling 2026 Registration and Fill Choices
For seat allotment and the IIT Admission Process 2026, it is necessary to apply for JoSAA Counselling. Follow the given steps to JoSAA registration and choice filling:
Step 1 Click on the link ‘New Candidate Registration’, then provide the candidate’s name, JEE Main 2026 application number, date of birth, and Mother’s name.
Step 2 Submit the details and verify the OTP sent to the registered email ID and Contact number.
Step 3 Now, create a new password for the JoSAA portal and candidates will be redirected to the JoSAA portal after registration.
Step 4 Login using the JEE Main 2026 application number and JoSAA password created
Step 5 Further, verify the OTP sent and check all details and read all the important instructions
Step 6 Confirm the registration if all the details are correct. However, if details are not correct, click on Edit to modify the details.
Step 7 Once done with the registration process, candidates can proceed to fill in the choices of institute type, name of institute and programme.
Step 8 Fill in the choices. Click on the ‘Add’ button to add the choices to the list according to their preferences.
Step 9 At the end, lock the choices for seat allotment
It is important to note that you lock the last saved choices of institute and programme before the last date. Otherwise, the choices will be auto-locked and that will be used for candidate seat allotment.
